The Hotel Barchetta Excelsior has 84 rooms, including 80 doubles, three Junior Suites and one Suite. Recently renovated, the rooms are equipped with the most modern comforts such as air conditioning, a colour TV set with satellite channels, radio, a telephone and a mini bar. The “Barchetta” restaurant, renowned since 1893 for its fine cuisine, is also open to guests not staying in the hotel. Located on the first floor facing the main square and the lake, the Barchetta is the ideal place both for a candlelight dinner and for business meetings and banquets. Every morning, a rich buffet breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The wide range of the menu includes Mediterranean, regional and local dishes, as well as vegetarian alternatives and menus customised according to the client’s demand. The restaurant is open all year round and houses gastronomic events as well as celebrations on special occasions. Located on the ground floor, the ”Bistrò” is recommended for informal luncheons. As in the main restaurant, great attention is paid to clients, according the company philosophy. From Monday to Friday, the Bistrò offers its business lunch, with a menu the chef modifies daily. In the summertime, the Bistrò opens its terrace facing the main square and becomes a meeting point to sample the long drinks, the cocktails and the after dinner drinks concocted by the hotel’s barman. The American Bar is a meeting place for those who love the tasting of vintage wines and liqueurs suggested by the experienced hotel barman. During the year, ”afternoon tea” is enjoyed with guided tastings of the finest flavoured infusions and hot chocolate, all accompanied by a selection of pastries. The American bar also offers a ”'happy hour” with drinks accompanied by a wide selection of hot and cold snacks and canapés.
