ACCOMMODATION: The Hotel Salam also features the works of well respected Senegalese artist Secka. It's 118 rooms, decorated with taste and elegance, are divided among the 5 stories (accessible via 2 elevators). The outdoor overflow pool and it's garden also make the HOTEL SALAM the ideal place to relax and enjoy natures bounty.
The HOTEL SALAM has 1 Presidential Suite, 6 Junior Suites and 111 double rooms with one or two beds. All the rooms are sound proof and air conditioned of course. Luxuriously decorated, all our rooms are equipped with central air conditioning with individual controls, a mini-bar, full cable T.V. , direct line telephones, Internet access, in-room safe and central lighting control.
The Presidential Suite : Situated on the ground floor, the view of the gardens, the pool and the mighty Niger River is impressive. The Suite is decorated with fine woodwork and marble. The main entrance opens up on the dining and sitting room. A double bedded room is available on both sides of the main room. Both a kitchenette and a guest bathroom are situated at the entrance of the Suite. The sitting room can accommodate et least 7 people and the dining portion will seat 10 comfortably. The Presidential desk is the main focus of the room. Of course, the Suite is equipped with all the amenities. Each of the two communicating bedrooms can be accessed independently from the guest corridor.
The Junior Suites : These jewels comprise a fully equipped bedroom and a full size sitting room. All the amenities found in our regular rooms are also featured in the junior suites.
RESTAURANT & BAR: Be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or for a late night snack, Le Manguier offers continental as well as African specialities. Buffets are a specialities for breakfast and week day lunches. A la carte menus are always available in both French and English. Le Manguier is of course fully licensed and air conditioned for your comfort. The room will seat 60 guests very comfortably.The Bar is located in the lobby and welcomes guests from 6:00 AM to midnight every day. Musical animation featuring local folklore and traditional instruments is featured. Snacks and sandwiches are available at all time.
MEETING & CONVENTION: LAHIDOU - Situated on the Mezzanine level, the Lahidou will seat 40 people, theatre style or up to 20 boardroom style.
YEELEN - Ideal for your conferences or your food functions and cocktails, It will seat 100 people theatre style and up to 125 for a cocktail. The room is on the ground floor, has natural lighting as well as air conditioning integrated sound system, video and audio capabilities.
SERVICES & LEISURE: The Front Desk is manned 24 hours a day, You may exchange most foreign currencies and traveller's cheques. We honour most major credit cards. The Front Desk is fully computerised and we provide detailed invoices for all charges including telephone calls. Faxes are received and sent from the Desk. A complimentary limo service to and from the airport is available for all major flights. You may find just the thing to bring home while visiting the gallery. From African folk art to modern African "prêt-à-porter" from famous designers such as Alphadi and PathéO. A beauty salon, several jewellery stores, a newsstand as well as a drug store offer you their best every day. Car rentals are easy at the Hotel Salam as we house Hertz and ADA (Thrifty) car rental services.
The sports club comprises exercise machines as well as free weights, dance an aerobic classes. Hotel guests have free access to the gym. 2 tennis courts, complimentary for guests use, are lit at night. A tennis pro on the premises can help you with your game should you require it. The pool and the wadding pool offers a great contrast to the often hot and dry Bamako weather. Should you feel hungry, Le Tossaye has just the snack you are craving.
